We were delighted, once again, to present the Wester Hailes Youth Agency Personal Achievement Award at the Forrester High School annual award ceremony on Friday 6th June. The deserved winner of the award this year was S4 pupil Morgan Samuel. Morgan was recognised through this award for her commitment at school, her positive outlook and always doing her best.
While we love to see young people do well, The Wester Hailes Youth Agency Personal Achievement Award is not about coming top of the class. Instead it recognises the personal qualities and hard work of young people as well as the ability to overcome difficulties, challenges or obstacles.
Guidance Teacher Mrs Lauder had this to say about Morgan:
“Morgan Samuel has proved herself to be a model pupil over the last four years. Despite difficulties Morgan is always positive, unfailingly polite and always cheerful. It is a pleasure to see her bright smile every day. On top of this she is one of the most hardworking pupils we have ever had – she puts in 100% to all of her work, giving her best and producing work of the very highest quality. She is a perfectionist in the best sense of the word!”
Congratulations and well done to Morgan. We wish her every success as she continues her school career in S5.
