Although we moved office at the end of March, it was with great pleasure that we officially opened our new office building on Thursday 25 June. Many thanks to the guests who came along for the official ribbon cutting ceremony and who helped us celebrate this significant event.
Our new office is an annexe to our Pyramid youth centre which provides drop in and group work facilities for young people in Wester Hailes and the surrounding area. The annexe allows the Youth Agency to work from just one building. It brings many benefits to young people and staff alike. As well reducing the carbon footprint the annexe will allow the Youth Agency to be more cost effective and provide more accessible services for young people.
Chairperson, Lewis Brown, thanked guests for attending and handed over to Shirley McLaren. Shirley is the Chair of Wester Hailes Land and Property Development Company and did us the honour of cutting the purple ribbon to officially open the building.
Many thanks to the Beechwood Joiners and Builders Ltd for their work and dedication and to the following funders who made the move possible: Wester Hailes Land and Property Development Company, The Clothworkers’ Foundation, R S McDonald Charitable Trust and Awards for All.
